The above quotation represents the underlying theme of my life. I just love it!

Anyway, although I now live in New York, I was born in one of the most beautiful countries in the world…Kenya, Africa.

My father’s diplomatic career afforded me a chance to live and visit different countries in Africa, Asia and Europe. I enjoyed interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and really appreciated different world cultures and languages. (I still do)

Living in different countries meant that I always had an opportunity to start afresh, switch careers, make new friends, learn new cultures, learn from past mistakes and make better choices and decisions. It wasn't always easy and I still have my moments.

Overcoming the challenges of adjusting in different and new environments, figuring out ways to fit in, be accepted and yet still being able to know and be clear about who I was, what I represented and stood for, what my life was all about, what I wanted to accomplish in life and actually taking steps to create the life I always dreamed of...has been the inspiration behind my passion to coach women.

Believe me, I have had my share of personal and work place issues (drama). I have battled with self esteem and questioned my worth and value as a person. I have agonized about the meaning of my life and questioned my purpose on earth...

I know and understand the agony and the pain of being overqualified for a job, I know what it means to be "stuck" and yet not know how to get unstuck or have any help, mentorship or support.

I know what it means to feel like an outsider and yet want to belong, to be accepted, to be validated, to be appreciated and to feel useful.

I know what it means to know that there is so much more to you and want to make something of your life and yet not know what to do to get to that place of achievement…

Since I have walked the walk and have been in the stuggle ( still am in some ways); most of my clients know that I understand.

I had so many wonderful qualities, skills, abilities, strengths and you name it! Yet, I had kind of settled for a mediocre, ho hum life. What had happened to me? I couldn't even believe that I was the woman I had become. Was this all there was? What about the dreams and plans I once had for my life...what had happened to them? I wasn't going to accept it. There was so much more to me.

I realized that I had to do something to close the gap between where I was in life and where I wanted to be. I had to take charge of my life and take steps to become the woman that I wanted to become. It was up to me to ensure that I created the meaningful life I wanted!

Since I already knew who I was, what made me happy and what I wanted to do with my life... I focused my time and energy on achieving my dream. I committed myself to this end and did what I had to do to ensure that I achieved my long held goals.

Making a difference in women's lives, helping them tap into their potential, encouraging them to expect more for their lives, become unstoppable, turn their dreams to reality and become all they can be...has been my greatest passion and proudest accomplishment yet!

I did it and so can you!
