| Life Lessons from a Jigsaw Puzzle |

A jigsaw puzzle consists of small irregularly cut pieces that are to be fitted together to form a picture. Solving a jigsaw puzzle can be mentally challenging and often requires you to exert yourself over that problem. Sometimes you can solve it with difficulty and ingenuity and at other times a little guesswork and some experiment will do the job. Like a jigsaw puzzle you need to arrange your life, your dreams, your plans or whatever it is that needs to be completed in your life in an intricate and interlocking way. Does your life, your dreams, your goals or your affairs, bear a semblance to an incomplete Jigsaw puzzle? If it does, below are a few tips to help you put it together. Just like a basic Jigsaw puzzle: 1. You need to clearly see the picture you want to solve. Just like a jigsaw puzzle you need to have a clear picture of your goal or your dream. Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so shall you become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil. James Allen 2. You need to get started There comes a time when you must not only talk the talk but walk the walk. You have to set the ball rolling for your dream or goal. In the dim background of our mind we know what we ought to be doing but somehow we cannot start. William James Take time to deliberate; but when the time for action arrives, stop thinking and go in. Andrew Jackson 3. You need a Strategy Just like a jigsaw puzzle; you need to have a strategy or a plan. What are you going to do? How are you going to achieve your goal or dreams? Where are you going to begin? What do you need to tackle and etc. A plan is a list of actions arranged in whatever sequence is thought likely to achieve an objective. John Argenti 4. You need to assemble it together. Just like a jigsaw puzzle you need to begin to mesh all the pieces of your dream together by working on the necessary bits and pieces of your plan, tying up all the loose ends and beginning to form the picture of your dream or goal. There is no one giant step that does it. It's a lot of little steps. Peter A. Cohen 5. You need to complete it. If you want to see the picture in the puzzle you need to complete it. If you want to achieve your goal or dream you need to achieve it or fulfill it. Consider the postage stamp; its usefulness consists in the ability to stick to one thing till it gets there.
